Easy Salmon Spread

A simple, smooth and tangy appetizer.

Ingredients

1 can (142 g) Clover Leaf Flaked Sockeye Salmon - Skin & Bones Removed, drained
¼ cup (50 mL) light mayonnaise
1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
¼ tsp (1 mL) Worcestershire sauce
dash hot sauce
fresh dill or parsley, chopped

PREP INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a food processor or blender, process salmon until fine.  Add mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Process for 30 seconds or until smooth.
  2. Serve right away or refrigerate, covered, until serving time (up to a day ahead).
  3. Serve as a spread on crackers, or with crudité, or spoon into Belgian endive spears or mushroom caps.  Sprinkle with dill.

Makes about 1 cup (250 mL).
